"Seaboard Foods strives to support the development of future leaders in the communities where we operate. Scholarships for further education demonstrate one of the many ways we can encourage young adults to take control of their future and become all they can," says Kay Stinson, vice president of human resources and animal care at Seaboard Foods.

The Seaboard Foods community scholarship focuses on providing educational assistance to students. Seaboard Foods awarded scholarships to students in every state it has operations: Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Colorado and Iowa.

Students were awarded scholarships based on achievements in academics, extracurricular activities, work experience and community involvement. More than 300 students applied for the scholarship.
