Seaboard Foods provides 55, $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing further educational opportunities
Shawnee Mission, Kan., April 22, 2021— Seaboard Foods awarded $1,000 scholarships to 40 students who live in the communities where they do business and 15 to children of their employees. The students are pursuing certificates and degrees from technical schools, colleges and universities next fall.
“Young adults are leaders in our communities, and we are committed to supporting their educational pursuits through scholarships,” says Kay Stinson, vice president of human resources and animal care. “We recognize their goals and ambition as they take control of their future and become all they can.”
Seaboard Foods’ scholarship focuses on fueling education for students in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Colorado and Iowa. Students were selected based on their achievements in academics, extracurricular activities, work experience and community involvement.
